● Product Introduction

　　SY-RT roughening agent is a non-toxic, light-colored paste that is applied directly to molds or templates. It is suitable for exposed aggregate treatment on the surface of newly cast concrete, treatment of building joints and ends, and continuous construction needs. SY-RT roughening agent can economically and effectively form a rough bonding surface on the concrete surface, replacing time-consuming and laborious methods such as sandblasting, chiseling, and filing. The exposed aggregate is intact and tightly embedded; it is also used for PC prefabricated plates to reveal the natural color and texture of the exposed aggregate, which has decorative properties. The coating type exposed aggregate only delays the final setting time of the concrete, will not pollute the concrete, and will not affect the connection between the steel bars and the concrete.

Product Principle

　　The retarding effect of SY-RT roughening agent on the concrete surface is 4-6mm deep. The depth is related to the coating thickness and acting time of the exposed aggregate, the cement and water content of the concrete, and the ambient temperature. SY-RT roughening agent combines with the cement on the surface, which can delay hydration for 1-2 days (high cement content or higher ambient temperature will weaken the retarding effect). After the retarding effect ends, the concrete can fully cure to its original strength.

● Instructions for Use

1. Open the bucket and stir well before use.

2. On any type of clean template or mold, apply a thicker layer of SY-RT roughening agent with a brush or roller, with a coverage of 0.3kg/㎡.

3. For new wooden templates or porous templates, it is recommended to apply at least two layers for sufficient impregnation.

4. If the repeatedly used template brush has a lot of concrete residue, rinse it with water before continuing to use SY-RT roughening agent.

5. Protect the templates coated with SY-RT roughening agent from strong sunlight and rain.

6. The concrete of SY-RT roughening agent should be removed from the template in 8-16 hours; it should not exceed 24 hours at higher temperatures and should not be later than 48 hours at lower temperatures. If the template needs to be kept for a longer time, 2-3 layers can be applied to ensure its penetration depth.

7. The template should be cleaned immediately after removal to remove the unsolidified cement slurry. It can be brushed with a wire brush or rinsed with high-pressure water.

8. If it contacts the skin, wash it with soap and water. If it accidentally enters the eyes, mouth, or nose, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention to avoid delay.

● Packaging and Shelf Life

1. 25 kg per bucket, storage temperature is 5°C- 40°C.

2. Store in a cool, dry place at room temperature. After opening, seal it carefully. The shelf life is 6 months, and it is best to use it up within 3 months. Avoid high temperature and sun exposure.
